In recent weeks Gareth Bale has been linked with a move to Manchester United but Jose Mourinho can forget it, according to his international teammate James Collins.
Bale has had an injury-plagued season for Real Madrid, only making 19 appearances and scoring seven goals and has been linked with a big money move back to the Premier League.
But West Ham centre-back Collins, who is friends with Bale, says he can’t envisage Bale swapping the Bernabeu for Old Trafford.
Speaking to Betway Insider he said: “I’d love to see him back, but I don’t think we will unfortunately because I know how much he loves it out there and he’s loved by the Madrid fans.
‘He’s gone out there and been unbelievable. It was a big step for him obviously moving country and going out there.’
As it gets closer to the transfer window opening the same names are being thrown around but a new one has been added to the mix.
United have entered the race to sign Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, according to reports.
Sky Sports News report that Mourinho is hoping to pip his former club Chelsea to the post to sign the 29-year-old.
Chelsea made several failed efforts to sign the Belgium international last year and United are said to be hoping their efforts will be more succesful.
Nainggolan signed for Roma in 2014 for £7.7million and he is now valued at £30million.
Monaco star Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after an impressive season with the Ligue 1 champions.
But he won’t be playing for United next season if Prince Albert of Monaco’s latest comments are anything to go by.
Speaking after Monaco secured their first league title for 17 years Albert, the patron of the Monte Carlo club, said: “All I can say is that he wants to stay.
“And I don’t think I am betraying any confidences to say that his father also wants him to stay. There can always be last-minute changes that I don’t know about but, for now, he will still be at AS Monaco next year.” Source: manchestereveningnews.co.uk
